The Thompson Chain Reference Bible is an excellent resource for personal study, or Bible lesson creation. I had often thought about getting one, and recently I purchased a copy of WORDsearch Bible software, and the "Thompson Chain Reference Bible Library". They have partnered with Kirkbride on this, and I must say that this an excellent software package. It contains all of the latest TCR reference information, and being in an electronic format, following a topic is just a matter of click, click, click. And looking up a topic number, map, or other information does not require paging through the index, again it's just a matter of selecting what you want to see. The reference works that come with the package are worth the price, and having WORDsearch give you access to download their 200+ free resources, as well as being able to purchase some 1000 others, only adds to the usefulness, and value. As far as the WORDsearch program itself, I agree wholeheartedly with John W Gillis on his MaybeToday.org blog: "WORDsearch is far and away the best program I’m aware of at putting the output of Bible Study work (studies, lessons, sermons, and other documentation) at the center of the program, where it belongs. No one else seems to even be taking this aspect of program functionality seriously, which puts WORDsearch in a class by themselves in this area." For it's integration of the TCR system, and usefulness, I could not recommend this program more.

this product has so much information, great details in man subjects that are extremely helpful for a lay person as well as a novice. the layout of the program is easy to follow and you can open many windows and not loose information. it's a great reasearch tool for anyone wanting to fruther their studies as well as the latest reasearch material right at your fingertips.

This is a wonderful product to have when studing the word of God. Easy to use and great information.

I bought this product because it appeared to be the only eBible available with a complete and current Thompson Chain Reference (albeit there is a 1923 version for the Online Bible). Looking at the software I found several other interesting topical and cross reference works which make this software unique as a source for topical study. I do not rate it 5-star, because I had some initial difficulties in using the electronic Chain Reference and finding things. However, I bought a newer "Bible Explorer 4" software from the same publisher afterwards and the Thompson integrates very neatly into this user interface; it can be used as marginal notes almost like the paper version.

IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THOMPSON's CHAIN REFERENCE SYSTEM THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT, AND IF NOT, INCREASE YOUR BIBLE KNOWLEDGE RAPIDLY WITHOUT SIFTING THROUGH THE DOCTRINAL BENT THAT IS PRESENT IN MOST COMMENTARIES AND BIBLES WITH STUDY NOTES OR REFERENCE LISTS.

This is the most useful tool I have ever seen for a complete and comprehensive study of the Bible bar none. It came with much, much more than I had expected for such a low price. I have only just begun to grasp all that there is. If you are a serious Bible student then this one single program will more than fill that need. For the price I paid I feel as though I got more than I paid for. What other software can you say that about? There are so many features and benefits that it will take me a long time to discover them all. We are encouraged in scripture to “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) and in my humble opinion there is no easier way to do so.

I have found Wordsearch 8 to be very easy to use. I have another popular bible software program that though it has a lot of reference materials is not as easy to use and the graphics are not as appealing as Wordsearch. All in all I am very pleased with Wordsearch.

This makes studying and teaching the Bible so much easier. It helps out doing lessons and looking up items during studying or enjoyment reading of the Bible. I recommend this to all my fellow Christians. God bless to all. Betty
